Vaulted tomb in Margarites

One of the most important monuments of Margarites is the Late Minoan vaulted tomb dating from 1350 BC. A long descending corridor built on both sides with large carved stones leads to the circular chamber of the vaulted tomb. In it, the bones of four adults and two children were discovered, while the findings of the tomb show that these are the dead of the highest social and religious hierarchy of the place.
